Keis heating vests - How do they work?
Keis heated vests – Mode of operation
Keis heated vests (models V501RP and Lady B501WRP) are specially designed for outdoor activities on foot – whether hiking, observing, skiing, or daily use. All important steps are also shown in our explanatory videos.
1. Power supply
Unlike motorcycle jackets, the vests can be easily powered by the compact Keis 5A lithium-ion batteries.
Since there is no wind while walking, less power is needed to generate intense heat. That is why small, lightweight batteries are possible, making everyday life easier.
2. Heating system
The heart of every Keis vest: continuously developed since 2007 and unmatched in comfort and reliability.
- Large heating elements on the back, chest, and collar (except for the V501RP without collar heating)
- Even distribution of heat over the entire upper body
- Use of carbon microfibers for optimal heat conduction
The result: intense heat, warm vital areas, better blood circulation – and therefore more well-being.
3. Application
Heated vests are under the main jacket and above a thin base layer (for example a T-shirt) worn.
They replace sweaters or fleeces, do not constrict the body, and improve blood circulation.
The outer material is windproof while being breathable to allow moisture to escape.
4. Temperature regulation
The jackets are delivered without a temperature controller.
- Some users are satisfied with a fixed heating level
- Some want to regulate the temperature and battery life
A temperature controller (standard or Bluetooth) can be optionally connected:
- Long press the center button → power on
- Short press → Change heating level
- Long press → Turn off
5. Power options
a) Keis lithium-ion battery (5A)
- Two models available
- Powerbank function with USB port
- Operating time depending on heating level: approximately 2 to 6 hours
b) Vehicle battery
- Each Keis product comes with a battery cable
- Connects directly to the vehicle battery
6. Connections for additional clothing
Each heated jacket has built-in connections for other Keis products:
- Left hip: socket for heated clothing at the bottom (pants or connection cable for heated socks)
- Connection cable for gloves along the sleeves available separately
Simply power the jacket with electricity – all connected products are automatically powered.
